Biography and cause of death of Carson Jones
American welterweight boxer Carson Jones was the previous champion of the USBA division (August 19, 1986 – February/March 2025). He also held the titles of light-middleweight champion of the NABA, the WBC Continental Americas (May 7, 2009), and light middleweight champion of the NABA USA. In May 2012, he reached his peak when the International Boxing Federation (IBF) ranked him as the #4 welterweight in the world.
Carson Jones Career in the workforce, 2004–2009
Jones defeated Sheldon Mosley via technical knockout on October 5, 2004, when he was only 18 years old, to kick off his professional boxing career. From his light-middle weight division debut in 2009, he went on to have a record of 23-7-1 (including 15 knockouts). He said that his early defeats were due to his former managers rushing him into the ring. His opponents’ aggregate record for defeats was 102-19-8 by the end of 2009. He had previously fought to a tie with Favio Media (7-1-2), but his first defeat was by unanimous decision.
